PAST YEARS EVENT INFO!

We are excited to announce that once again University Hospitals of Cleveland’s Construction Services Department hosted the
“11th Annual Comics for Kids” stand up comedy fundraiser for Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital. Last year the event raised $45,000.00 to help patients and families.
This Year

This year with your participation, we hope to exceed that gift. The event will be held on Wednesday, October 21,2015, at Hilarities 4th Street Theatre, located inside Pickwick & Frolic, in Cleveland, Ohio. There will be a pre-show cocktail party beginning at 6:00 p.m. and the show will begin at 8:00 p.m. The show goes from 8 -10pm.

Headliner for the “12th Annual Comics for Kids” Is Mike Cheselka!

Michael's career includes appearances on HBO, Showtime, various sitcoms and several motion pictures. He is a regular at the Improv Comedy Club and appears weekly on the Fox TV8 morning show in Cleveland, Ohio.

Michael began his career in comedy as one of the original "Outlaws of Comedy" with the late Sam Kinison. While honing his craft at the infamous LA Comedy Store, (prior to being "discovered" by Kinison), he had the pleasure of performing with Jerry Seinfeld, Robin Williams, Paul Reiser, and the late Phil Hartman.

A Cleveland native, comedian Mike Cheselka has had an interesting run as an entertainer. After a 15-year run that included multiple headlining tours and performing with the likes of Williams & Seinfeld, Cheselka returned to Cleveland to become a lawyer, but that hasn’t stopped him from taking the comedy stage in venues all over Cleveland.

Remember that Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital of University Hospitals of Cleveland is among the nation's best hospitals for pediatrics. It is ranked 5th in the nation by U.S. News & World Report’s 2008 national survey with the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit ranked 2nd in the country! Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital annually admits and provides care for 10,000 newborns, infants, children and adolescents. The hospital’s ambulatory clinic and children’s emergency care center serve more than 100,000 children each year. In many cases, these children face life threatening illnesses. Our mission is to help provide some support and assistance for these children and their families. Simply stated, when a child’s life is in the balance, there is no better facility than Rainbow.
